It’s Barbie’s world, we’re just living in it. Whether you grew up on Mattel, have been donning Barbiecore for the past year, or just love a star-studded red carpet, the Barbie movie press tour has given us much to (visually) play with.
From Los Angeles to London, it was hot pink as far as the eye could see, until 2023’s biggest press tour (sorry, Oppenheimer) came to a screeching halt amid the SAG-AFTRA strike.
While we’ll never know what Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera, Simu Liu, Issa Rae, Greta Gerwig, and the whole Barbie gang would have worn to the Berlin and New York premieres, Shutterstock Editorial’s photographers were in L.A., Sydney, Seoul, Mexico City, and London—snapping every Barbie-heeled step of the way.

Margot Robbie’s fashion was spot on at the June 25 L.A. photocall. While her playful polka dot Valentino mini dress was a head turner, Barbie’s pink Corvette caused quite a stir, as well.
Also kicking off the Barbie press tour in a more neutral palette was Prada-donned director Greta Gerwig, and co-stars Issa Rae, America Ferrera, Ryan Gosling, and Kate McKinnon.
In true Allan style, Michael Cera stood out from the crowd in blue.

Margot Robbie sparkled bright in Versace at Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art. For the June 30 bash, the actress was joined for a slew of Barbie photos by her sparkling and sleek Barbie gang Greta Gerwig, Issa Rae, and America Ferrera.
Also in attendance—in full Barbie spirit—was Jimmy Jan, Tatenda Luna, Nawal Sari, Akira Isogawa, Vanity, Ashleigh Huynh, and Rowi Singh. And the Heartbreak High cast—James Majoos, Gemma Chua-Tran, Chloe Hayden and Brodie Townsend—was definitely thinking pink.

On July 02, Margot Robbie made a day-to-night switch as only Barbie could, going from an ‘80s-inspired suit to Atelier Versace’s dreamy dress.

On July 06, Margot Robbie continued a string of sartorial successes, with an assist from new stylist Andrew Mukamal and Balmain. Inspired by ‘90s Earring Magic Barbie, the actress rocked a corseted mini, and, well, earrings.
Ken—né Ryan Gosling—was there in sunny yellow, as was America Ferrera. By this point in the press tour, eagle-eyed fans took note of the actress’s distinctly un-Barbie-like black and white wardrobe.

Margot Robbie’s legs rivaled her hair for days, when she stepped out for the Mexico City photocall on July 07. Dressed in a distinctly Emilio Pucci print, the actress was joined by Ryan Gosling and America Ferrera’s muted pastels.

Margot Robbie’s dress was already iconic before she even stepped onto the pink carpet for the July 09 L.A. Barbie movie premiere. The Australian actress channeled the ‘60s in a custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture column, modeled after Barbie’s Solo in the Spotlight outfit.
Raising the pink quotient for the evening was Ryan Gosling, Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae, Greta Gerwig . . . and Jamie and Flo from Progressive (actors Jim Cashman and Stephanie Courtney).
No Hollywood premiere is complete without a bevy of A-list names: Mark Ronson, Nicki Minaj, Gal Gadot, and Dua Lipa hit the pink carpet along with standout style stars Xochitl Gomez and Patrick Starrr.
